Yesterday I logged into another board, one that I play on, to find that not only had someone abused the trust of a friend of mine to log into his account. (Foolish on his part to not have changed the password, but that is beside the point) but they had abused the admin privileges on that account in order to promote this board through global PMs to its players.
I am mildly offended by using tactics of sabotage to try to snare players from that game for this one. Perhaps if you had advertised on that board like anyone else or even struck up a congenial conversation with the players of that board or posted to one of the general ooc boards what you had to say I might have considered joining this board. It is a neat premise yes, but IMHO I wouldn't want to associate myself with people who would behave in such a manner.
What is particularly offensive is the fact that the person who ran Masquerade left that game in the hands of someone else after he said he could no longer run it. To then turn around and outwardly criticize the game (after a few days no less when nothing has actually changed as of yet) and suggest the board is dead and that players should go somewhere else is immature, contemptible behavior.
I'm not saying that Masquerade is necessarily going to pull out of its slump. It might not, but under the circumstances, kicking someone while they're down is very poor form.
Sincerely, Becca

Alright, this Jareth right now just to let you know. And I'm going to tell you something, although I gave up responsibility that site was operating under my ideas, my coding, and all of my advertising. You were at that sight beacause I had created it. I'm sorry if it's vain to think that I have the right to globally PM a group members on what was my site, and say that I think they would be better off here.
I'm sorry If I still want to roleplay with some of the same people, but a diffrent concept. When say the board is dead I am only insulting myself by saying that I was inable to keep active. I apologize if that in any way sounded as insult to the current admin.
Truth I just want to roleplay, with an innotave idea that hadn't grown stale like I felt masquerade had. I wanted new characters, new situations. I was bored.
It's not your fault it's mine for making the plot slowly, etc, etc.

All valid points and improves my impression of the act in general yes, but I think it would have been better if you had done it before you gave the account to someone else or even if you had contacted the person who has the account now about the global PM before you did it. As it stands I don't think the global PM was a good idea simply because you didn't keep the current admin of the board in the loop. I don't think it's right to hand someone else the reigns and then pull the rug out from under his feet.
It was pretty apparent that you were getting bored with things and that is unfortunate. You had some great ideas over there. You are a pretty good artist and you did a good job setting up that board. I think you're a great roleplayer and it was fun to play with you. I hope you find what you were looking for here or wherever you end up.
No hard feelings, Becca

If I had known that I would come up with a brilliant idea for another roleplay I can garentee things would have worked out diffrently, and probably not in Masquerade's favor. However I didn't come up with an idea for another site (with the help of my sister), until after I had handed off the board to Zeb so I didn't really have much of choice.
Regaurdless of the fact that he is still operating that board I still consider myself to have some basic rights in corralation to it.
