The Character
Name:
Jason Stephens.
Gender:
Male
Age:
29 years of age.
Race:
Caucasian.
How long have they been at St. Mary’s?
Newly-hired. (Part of Isadora’s team.)
Position:
Doctor.
Training:
BMedSc(Hons).
Appearance:
Jason stands at approximately six foot five inches, and he wears his blond hair long, so that it reaches the bottoms of his ears when it is dry. He has a charming smile, and always dresses neat and tidy when he tending to patients. However, he is still in the ‘party’ stage of life, and still likes to go out and have fun. Because of his lifestyle, he keeps his body in good shape. Coming from a rather privileged background, Jason doesn’t have any physical deformities in his body, though, in his own mind, he thinks that he could be a bit more muscular. But that is just his opinion. He does, however, have several tattoos dotted around his body. One on his left shoulder blade is of a sleeping tiger, and he has a large dragon one on his left side. It begins down on his thigh and extends almost all the way up his chest, partially covering his stomach and the small of his back.
Personality:
Jason is slightly arrogant and conceited. He is somewhat of an elegant weasel, managing to talk his way out of situations with a smooth tone. Jason is a charmer as well and he is always in a relationship with at least two other people. He has problems with commitment in relationships, and once he is tired of someone, then he tosses them away over his shoulder, and moves onto the next person. Overall, Jason has a rather wicked sense of humour, and a sense of ambition that goes off the charts. If he really wants something, then he will throw aside everything in his goal to get that thing and make it his own. However, when it comes to his job he is rather committed to what he does, and he does it well... because he knows that he is one of the best.
History:
Jason was born in England, and he spent most of his childhood in London. He attended Oxford University after finishing high school. Being an only child, his parents pushed him to the limits and gave Jason everything that he could ever want. he was hardly complaining either, and spent the majority of his parent’s money on parties and girls. Lots of parties and girls. However, he wasn’t thick in the upper department, and he passed his degree with honours. he has a string of failed relationships, and supposedly more then one illegitimate child on his hands... but he refuses to acknowledge himself as being the father, as he doesn’t want anything to tie him down. After graduating from Oxford, he moved to America, seeking the party atmosphere there. He was still living off his parent’s money of course, as they had made it all in investments. But he figured that it was time for him to get a job, so he applied at St Mary’s, as the pay looked rather good and the patients interesting.

You Are Mine
It had been nearly a year since he’d gone... and Adan was still missing his lover of nearly four years. His friends had finally convinced him to start to get over him... but the dark-haired man refused to do so. He still remembered that night when he’d made love to the man and woke up the next morning and he was gone without a trace. Adan had thrown himself into his work and hadn’t looked back. He sighed softly and stepped off the balcony of his suite, watching the twinkling lights of the city where he lived disappear over the horizon. He could certainly afford to have a three-week holiday that this cruise offered. He closed the sliding door and sunk down onto one of the couches, closing his black eyes and attempting to relax.
A knock at the door of his suite signified the arrival of his cabin steward, but Adan didn’t really feel like eating anything. Instead he’d probably head down to one of the six bars that were littered all over the ship. After conversing with the steward for a few minutes, he stepped out of the living/dining area and headed through to his bedroom. A suitcase sat half-unpacked on the bed and Adan considered putting the rest of his clothes away, and decided against it. He was certainly paying the steward enough to do so, and he figured that while he was having a shower the man would finish the unpacking for him.
It doesn’t take much for my heart to break
And you have done it for what seems the millionth time
Whenever I hear of your saving grace
How you gave your life in exchange for mine
He stepped into the large bathroom and closed and locked the door, stripping off his clothes and peering into the large mirror that covered an entire wall. Adan didn’t think that he was beautiful, even though his lost lover did so. He stood a shade over six feet and wore his black hair longish at the front and short at the back. His skin was a natural light caramel colour and even Adan had to admit that it contrasted rather well. Though he refused to think that he was beautiful. Muscles were wrapped around his slender frame, evidence that he still did work out and keep his body toned to perfection. However, he only did it to protect himself from people who sought out to hurt him.
There was one main thing that Adan truly loathed about his body, and that were the scars that littered his body. His back was affected the worst, where he’d received so many whippings and beatings, that there was no unmarred skin on his back. Adan grew up in a small Spanish town, the eldest out of two sisters and a brother. When he was seven, he was kidnapped on the way home from school. Despite having his mother walking there beside him, the kidnappers managed to get away. What happened next were some of the worst years of the young boy’s life.
Sometimes I wonder why you even loved me
And why you ever chose to call me child
And I remember, it’s by your sacrifice
I can say that I am yours and you are mine
Used as a sex slave in a gang, Adan was physically and mentally scarred. When he was finally rescued (along with several other slaves, both male and female, Adan was fourteen and had endured seven years of pure torture. Despite this, he was returned to his family, but the teen was withdrawn and he wasn’t the happy, smiling boy that he had been years before. Wanting to help him, his parents sent Adan to America to a distant relative of theirs. They figured a new life would help him forget his old one. Adan flourished in America, and he was soon getting an education from his older fourth cousin, making up for all the years that he spent in the gang. The dark-haired teen had a quick mind and picked up things easily, so it wasn’t surprising when he began to take over a few minor divisions of the company that his cousin headed.
However, the scars still hadn’t left him, and although he tried his best to find someone to settle down with in his late teens and early twenties, none of the females that his cousin set him up with caught his eye. Adan was forced to believe that he wouldn’t ever find anyone that would understand him in any way possible. When he was in his late twenties, his cousin died, leaving Adan as the sole heir of the company and he was grateful for that, as he’d steadily taken over the company with each year. But he was still alone, clinging to his past and pushing away everyone who dared to get too close to him. And then Adan met... him.
It doesn’t take much for me to shed a tear
And you have done so many things to make me cry
Whenever I think of everything that I’ve done wrong
Everything that you have done to make it right
They started off as business partners and met over a lunch to discuss the merger of their two companies. Adan was usually calm and cool when he was meeting with new people, but this man had him flushing like a teenager within a few minutes. They had to meet several more times and Adan began to both dread and look forward to their meetings. He wasn’t sure whether he should be flattered by the man’s flirtatious advances, or afraid of them. The final straw came when they were leaving a restaurant after dinner, and the man pulled Adan into an alleyway. The dark-haired male was pushed up against a wall and then kissed breathless. By the time Adan came back to his senses, he was alone and his ears were ringing with the promise that the other male would see him again.
Their relationship had grown from there and endured through the years until he left. And Adan was left alone. There had been no note, no nothing, and he’d all but given up on his love. That was why he was on his cruise... to perhaps find someone new and forget about him. Yeah. Right. He pushed thoughts of his old lover aside as he climbed out of the shower; dripping water everywhere and he wrapped a towel around his waist, rubbing his hair with another towel as he made his way into the bedroom. As Adan had predicted, his cabin steward had come and put away his clothes (colour-coded, god forbid), so he was forced to search for a few seconds to find something he liked.
Sometimes I wonder why you even loved me
And why you ever chose to call me child
And I remember, it’s by your sacrifice
I can say that I am yours and you are mine
Finally settling on a cream-coloured silk shirt and a pair of black dress pants, he dressed quickly and ran his fingers through his damp hair. Adan really wasn’t one for primping and preening over his appearance... he was one of those people who could make anything look good. He slid his feet into boots and shoved a few notes into the pocket of his trousers. After glancing at himself in the mirror, he left his room and negotiated the hallways of the ship down to the interior, where there were restaurants and bars. People were milling about, and the tall male made his way into a smaller one, stepping up to the bar and ordering a beer. However, he didn’t notice the small pill that was slipped into the glass, and he downed it without much thought.
Adan put the dizziness that he was feeling down to the fact that he was out at sea, and the interior of the ship was kind of stuffy. Or was it just him? Brushing a few bangs off his forehead he wrapped his fingers around the second glass and sipped from it, whilst surveying the people inside the bar. He noticed someone coming towards him out of the corner of his eye, and he was smiling slightly as he stopped next to Adan. “Hello, senor,” he murmured, running a finger along Adan’s chin and tilting it in his direction. “Remember me?”
It doesn’t take much for my heart to break
And you have done it for what seems the millionth time
Sometimes I wonder why you even loved me
And why you ever chose to call me child
As soon as the man first spoke, Adan felt a chill run down his spine and he felt an almost overwhelming urge to flee. “Yes,” he whispered softly, after a short pause. He’d know that deadly green eyes anywhere, and the man smirked slightly, slipping an arm around Adan’s waist and tugging him off the stool. Adan went willingly, because of the drug and the fact that he was scared stiff.
“Glad to know that I’m memorable. You’ve gotten tall, Adan,” he said. “Imagine my surprise when I rescued you after all these years,” he murmured quietly. “I’ll look forward to... sampling you again,” he whispered in his ear, and Adan felt a cold sweat break out over him. The room started to spin around, lights and colours danced and merged into a dizzying blur. And then the dark-haired man blacked out, slumping to the floor.
Sometimes I wonder why you even loved me
And why you ever chose to call me child
And I remember, it’s by your sacrifice
I can say that I am yours and you are mine
He woke up slowly, automatically trying to stretch his limbs as he let out a soft moan. Adan froze automatically when he found that he couldn’t move his hands, and his eyes snapped open. He was in a dark place, and he waited until his eyes adjusted, and he was vaguely able to see how he was tied up. His hands were cuffed behind his back and his knees and ankles were tied tightly. The dark-haired male also had a throbbing headache behind his eyes, and he managed to struggle to a sitting position so that he was facing the door.
The room that he was in was made of wood, and the dull roar of the engines was louder here, making Adan believe that he was still on the ship. He was damned if anyone would sneak up on him again. Fear was still rampant through his body as he heard slow and measured footsteps, and then the sound of a key in the lock of his door. It opened slowly and a light flared inside the room, causing Adan to try to bury his face in his arm to protect his eyes from the sudden flare of light. Once Adan deemed his eyes were able to handle the light, he glanced up at the figure standing in the doorway and he paled, his mouth falling open as he looked at his lost lover. “No...”
